Junior Johnson’sHome and Farm to be offered at Public Auction
Rockingham, NC - July 10, 2012 - It was announced today that RacingLegend Junior Johnson will sell his Cattle Farm and Custom Built Home situatedon 150 acres in Yadkin County, on August 7, 2012. In a separate auction, Johnson will sell his farm equipmentand memorabilia at public auction on July 31, 2012.
Junior and his family have purchased a new home in Charlotte andhave chosen the firm of IRON HORSE AUCTION COMPANY, INC., of Rockingham, NC toconduct these important auction events.
A member of the inaugural class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Junioris recognized as one of the drivers and owners who have made the sport what itis today. As an entrepreneur he continues to be active in business with his ownsignature "white lighting" being distilled in Madison, NC under thename of Junior Johnson’s Midnight Moon.
His auctions will feature his farm equipment used to maintain thebeautiful 150 acre cattle farm, many special memorabilia items and also, thescenic Hamptonville Estate. The Hamptonville Estate includes themagnificent, hilltop home that was custom built for Junior and his wife, Lisa; alongwith Junior’s office, race shop, the famous breakfast building, hay barns,equipment buildings and a separate guest house.
The equipment, memorabilia and home furnishings will be sold on July31 starting at 9 A.M. The auction will be conducted on site under the big tentwith live internet bidding available for those not able to attend in person.The real estate will be offered on August 7 at 11 A.M., on site.
A catalog purchase of 25.00 is required to attend either inspectionor auction, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Ryan Newman Foundation.The catalog will allow two persons to attend both auctions and the previewprior to the auction.
