Fuel Capacity:   2800 gallons total | 2 tanks at 1400 gallons each

    Potable Water Capacity:  1,077 gallons

Marine Vessel (M/V) Thomas A. Baum has been a workhorse for the North Carolina Ferry System since the mid-1990’s.  She currently sits at the Ferry Terminal in Havelock, North Carolina awaiting her new owner.  The Baum was replaced by the Rodanthe which provides for slightly more vehicles and passengers.

The Baum is prepared to provide reliable service to her new owner.  In 2018 she underwent a USCG Hull Examination and cleared satisfactory.   The hull plating was replaced at that time along with the shafts and propellers being pulled.  In 2012 the pilot house electronics and navigation aids were updated and tested.

This is a must see and buy.   The engine room is “spotless” and well maintained.  We encourage all interested parties to be at the port to inspect the vessel at 10:00 am and to participate in the auction starting at 2:00 pm.

**This vessel has maintained US Coast Guard (USCG) compliance.  It has a current Certificate of Documentation.  Certificate of Inspection has lapsed due to being past the credit dry-dock.
